SPRING RETURN (FAIL SAFE OPTION)

Spring return (fail safe option) will drive the valve to a pre–determined position (open or closed) upon the loss of power or signal.

ELECTRIC – There are two options for failsafe operation with electric actuators. The first is a battery back up fail safe device; the second is spring return electric actuators. Neither of these options are currently Colonial stock items, however they are available upon request.

PNEUMATIC – Colonial offers a complete line of stock spring return pneumatic actuators. The spring return option on pneumatic actuators is a practical and inexpensive choice.
