SPEED CONTROL
The speed at which a valve opens or closes is an important consideration. Valves that open or close too fast can cause water hammer. This may result in premature failure of system components.
ELECTRIC – Cycle times for the stock electric actuators offered by Colonial are listed below:

Speed controls that will allow for slower cycle times are optional.
Cycle times will change with the extended duty cycle option.
PNEUMATIC – Changing cycle times of pneumatic actuators can be accomplished easily by regulating the exhaust air.
